MC32-314015 - MoTeC SDC3-Subaru Diff Controller

The MoTeC Subaru Diff Controller (SDC3) 2008 Models Onwards is used to adjust the torque split between the front and rear differentials to achieve greater control over handling characteristics.

The centre differential is essentially a limited slip differential with adjustable preload. The SDCs work by regulating solenoid current, which is proportional to the preload. When no current is applied (0Percent lock) the centre differential operates as an open diff with a mechanical torque distribution of 65Percent rear and 35Percent front. By increasing current (increasing percentage lock) the preload increases

There are six selectable control modes: 0Percent lock, 100Percent lock and four user-configurable modes selected using the DCCD thumb wheel.

Each mode is configurable with an acceleration, braking & desired slip table. With a MoTeC M800 ECU connected the SDC3 can send wheel speeds, lateral G-force, steering position, diff parameter & fault codes to the MoTeC M800 Plug-In ECU.
